You have a beautiful place in all seasons. I learned a lot on how you dress in that kind of weather. I have never walked on a lake before. That’s amazing.
Thank you for the comment! Nice to hear that it contained something new. Walking on ice is complex: at first, it’s new and exciting (will the ice hold?), and then it becomes familiar activity — until spring arrives and the ice melts. Next winter, it will be new and wonderful again. 🤗❄️
Thank you for sharing your walk and beautiful photos. Here in the south of Australia we are watching the sun set a little earlier each day and look forward to cooler weather the autumn will bring.
Thanks for sharing your brief journey to the islands. Your photos capture the beauty of the land and water in winter and your words speak your joy in being outdoors.
I did enjoy the walk very much. You take such beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing. And you are right the days have become longer. I don’t mind cold weather as long as I could skip this strong wind 💨 we are dealing with these days…. 💖💖💖
Your images is beyond beautiful, natural in magical, vibrant way. They stands out Anna🤩❣️❣️ Agree about clothing, that is crucial in this cold weather down to -25 degrees you have to wear wool and in layers. I think most Scandinavian people know this, its part of our culture. But now and then I see some that are totally unaware or ignorant to this🧐😏. Thanks for the lovley walk💙❄️☃️
Thank you Tony! Yes, we people of the North mostly know these things.😉🫶🏼 But I’ve noticed that for those who live in warmer climates, it can be quite surprising how we can go outside and live quite normally even in severe cold, as long as we’re dressed properly.🧣❄️☃️
Thank you! Exactly! Kuomas carry memories and stories beyond just keeping our feet warm, and their durability is amazing. You can easily find them used at flea markets, and we have several pairs at home. Every winter, we dig them out and look for the right size for each kid. Yes, winter layering really becomes easy once you find the right combination. 🥾❄️

The pleasure is mine! It’s still amazing to me that somewhere it’s always summer. I would love to visit Australia someday. 🫶🏼✨
