Beautiful.

Thankyou

It gladdens my heart

Especially as for the moment I am restricted at home after operation ( nothing serious, be fine, just recovery time)

So will gaze upon your vistas 'till I get out there again

Thank you for your lovely comment! I’m so glad if my posts can bring a bit of nature to you, even if you can’t get out there yourself right now. Wishing you a smooth recovery. 🫶🏼🌿

my heart is longing to visit your beautiful sanctuary

I hope reading this post felt as if you had actually made it to the island. Thank you for your comment, Maria! 🌿🫶🏼

it did! i had always wanted to spend a few weeks in Finland by a side of a lake in a wooden cabin

So lovely to hear! I hope you can someday. 🫶🏼 If you want to take a little virtual trip to my family’s cottage by the lake, check out this post. It tells about our slow day at the autumn cottage. ✨☕️

Indeed, it’s a blessing to be able to reach the island by water. Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying this — that’s why I write. 🫶🏼🌿

Spectacular! The cups the coffee is in have a lot of character. Got to get one! Thanks and have a great day!

Anna, Grow Wild in Forest Soil's avatar

Thanks! The cup is called kuksa. It’s a traditional Finnish mug for outdoors and hiking. Have a nice new week! 🫶🏼☕️🌲

A fantastic post again Anna and I agree with Karen can’t choose a favorite, except from the mushroom standing tall and brave in the frost😍💟 It look a bit freezing on the images. Good you have your special cup with vogge as always 😀 Was it kuska in Finnish? My memory are not always 100%😊 Thank you for sharing, I love it ❤️

It's a kuksa! It's always hanging on my backpack, so you’re going to see it many times! 😄 ☕️That morning was really cold, or maybe I just hadn’t gotten used to the frost this winter yet. Thanks Tony!

So Wonderful pictures. It’s impossible to choose a favorite spot. It all looks so marvelous. Where in Finland do you find such a wonderful place?

Here’s some pictures from my morning round my sister in law’s lodging. Enjoy your weekend.

They will follow.

Thanks Karen! This place is on Lake Päijänne, in Southern Finland. Päijänne is the second-largest lake in the country, and it’s also the source of drinking water for the whole southern region. Our cottage is on its shore, and most of our adventures start from there. Thanks for your pictures, I will look at them! 🌸

Thanks! Even though there was snow, it didn’t feel quite like winter. It even felt a little unreal, in a good way. Like a dream. Nice to hear that you liked it! 🫶🏼❄️🌿

Absolutely LOVE all the pictures. So neat to see another part of the world, and to notice the similarities all the way across the ocean.

Thank you! Isn’t the combination of white snow and green moss so absolutely lovely? I agree that it’s so cool to peek to the other side of the earth and see how same and different things can be! 🤩

It's beautiful to see such a different mossy landscape from the ones I can explore here in England. Thank you for sharing.

Moss isn’t interested in growth.

Oh, thank you for the lovely comment. Yes, the air is fresh here. Of course, it’s also dry, which isn’t always good for the nose.

It’s wonderful to hear that you could imagine being on the island with me. That’s exactly what I’m aiming for when I write. Wishing you a wonderful end of the year as well! 🫶🏼🌿
