Thank you Tony! Yes, I think everyone with sleeping problems should first try looong evening walks outdoors.😄

Oh the cuckoo, she’s a pretty bird, she warbles as she flies. Old folk song

Exciting “story” and as always wonderful photos. Like me you take a lot of them.

Whenever I saw moss and ferns on the Azores I thought of you! I’ll send you some photos.

In Denmark the cuckoo (Danish Word is ‘gøg’) also kukker, nearly the same word as yours. And our nickname for it is en kukker!

Thanks Karen, and it’s so nice to hear that moss brought me to your mind! Yes, I take photos a lot. Interesting to hear what “cuckoo” is in Danish. How would you describe its call?

I would say “kukkuk”! But I must admit it’s a long time since I heard one. Years ago I could hear it from my open windows upstairs in springtime, but it’s many years ago.

I take a lot of photos too. I have been inspired by all the very good photos on Substack! Among others yours. I took hundreds on the Azores!!!

I can imagine, I’d probably take many photos in the Azores too.😅🫶🏼
